About
Lynne Parfitt is an artist, who has been painting since the 1970s, trained at the Julian Ashton Art School in Sydney. Her art is influenced by the fresh approach of the French Impressionists towards colour and light, and many of our Australian artists, especially Russell Drysdale, Ethel Carrick Fox, Margaret Olley and Tom Roberts.

Lynne lives on the Gold Coast and has gained a lot of experience and art reference materials during travels around Wales, England, Yugoslavia, America and New Zealand. The artworks reflect this diversity – people in beach and cafe scenes on the Gold Coast, shopping in Manhattan, urban scenes in Melbourne and in small rural villages across the world.
Lynne's philosophic approach is to express the beauty of movement, the transient moment, and how people interact within their various environments. The aim is to bring more awareness to the beauty around us and to relaxing activities such as appreciating nature, shopping, surfing, and sharing coffee with friends. The artist is fascinated by capturing a transient moment either via camera or paintbrush, and paints original art pieces from original photos or sketches created on the spot.

Her approach to art is to make every brushstroke count, and the focus is on infusing positive energy into the work, often painting whilst listening to music.
